Khilji's evil character is brought alive on screen by Ranveer, who is reportedly so immersed in the role that he has to that psychiatric help to do away with its ill effects.

The 3 minutes 10 seconds trailer of Padmavati is outstanding and conveys so much in a short span. And his heroism is displayed when his wife, Rani Padmini, played by a gorgeous Deepika Padukone, puts the crown on his head with such pride. That might also be because Ranveer and Deepika and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are joining forces again.

The one thing that broke the internet today was definitely the "Padmavati" trailer. It's clear that Ranveer Singh - the barbaric Muslim warrior - is the villain, especially since he grits his teeth, leaves his hair and beard unkempt, and sports animal-like mannerisms. The trailer has already become the number one trending video on YouTube and people can't wait for the movie to release in theatres. Shahid Kapoor looks macho as her husband and Ranveer Singh as Allauddin Khilji is the most intriguing of all. The trailer begins with Deepika Padukone making her stunning and royal entry as Rani Padmini along with Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh. Initially, three posters surfaced on social media, in which Ranveer Singh clearly stole the show.

It looks like Padmavati is going to be as grand as Bajirao Mastani.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films are known for their well-choreographed sequences, especially where battle is involved. The trailer of Padmavati too gives us a glimpse of what kind of action scenes the film is to have.
